Ok, I’m a few days early…but I’m ready!
Remember to have fun and do the things that lift you up, make you smile and laugh joyfully!
Halloween is my favorite time of year! Because my birthday is the same time, I would have slumber parties, my mom would cook caramel apples and we would have loads of fun! Any costume I had, my mom either made it from scratch or helped me put it together.
My dad created this haunted house in the basement with peeled radishes (as eyeballs) and other creative spookiness. When kids came to the door, he would be wearing a scary mask and playing the part. I hope he knows how much I enjoyed that. I don’t remember if I told him so.
Grief and joy can sometimes be interwoven into everything we do. When I’m not unconsciously placing my feelings aside as I get into the groove of living, but am back into my heart center, I find myself laughing, crying, grieving and experiencing joy day to day. The feelings go in and out like a breath of fresh air and a release like the water moving downstream.
Intentional breathing or any type of slow down, whether it’s HeartMath, mindfulness or meditation, can bring us back into our hearts so we can be fully alive and present in the exquisite details of living.
Zelda and I made a fun video to start off our Halloween month.
