Take a risk

When is the last time you took a risk? How did it work out?

When I was teaching yesterday, my students and I talked about how growth can feel uncomfortable at times. If we don’t take the risk, have perseverance and gently push ourselves at times, we won’t realize the amazing things we can accomplish. Taking the risk can build confidence and allow our self esteem to grow.

“I can’t” are words I don’t accept in my class.

Instead we replace it with “I’m doing my best and it’s enough ” Giving it a try is the most important thing. Perseverance comes next.

So many of us avoid trying new things because the idea of failure terrifies us. We stay comfortable in our safe world.

But sometimes we need to spread our wings and take flight, take a risk.

The last time I took that leap was when I resigned. Some magical ideas, moments and last minute changes allowed me to land back in a career I love.  Instead of leaving, big change took place that led me to happiness and clarity.

Teaching and writing are passions of mine. Spending time in nature, taking photographs and writing poetry bring immeasurable peace.

I must say I’m living my best life.

It worked out pretty well for me.

I hope the same for you.
