Advice

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

On this quest for personal discovery, I’ve received so much good advice from wise elders. I’ve always accepted advice from those I respect and want to be more like, in some ways.

You can’t do it wrong was advice I received from Kay Shinol, from the Awakening Tribe. Basically, it’s permission to be who you are at this moment. We make decisions, based on the information we have at the time, for a journey we may wish to experience.

You can’t do it wrong.

We may gain more information from our decisions but at the time, we made our decision with all of the information and experiences we had up until that moment. So take a leap into your life. You can’t do it wrong. We are here for the experience after all.

Don’t talk about him, let’s look at you was the start of my journey in self discovery. Jan Shinol started that process. Instead of pointing fingers at others, he reminded me to turn that around and take an honest look at myself. Remember, when we point at others, we have three fingers pointing toward ourselves.

Instead, ask questions such as:

What is this bringing up for me?

What would love do now?

Who am I and what do I want?

What am I doing to create my dreams?

I’ve received so many pointers along the way on my journey in self discovery. As someone once said to me, take what feels right and chuck the rest.

We are the master of our ship allowing people into our lives when we are ready for their message.

We also get to choose what to take in and what to let go of,  based on who we are and what we want.

Authenticity is our right. So what are you doing to create and live the life you wish to experience? It is not about others, that’s just a distraction to avoid taking a solid look at ourselves.

Let’s create something wonderful for ourselves today.
