How important is spirituality in your life?
I grew up in a traditional home. We went to church every Sunday and our community was the church. My mom has always been a social butterfly and so we had parties, pool parties, gatherings and fun retreats.
I am thankful it was positive. I never remember getting any message that we were sinners. Instead, I learned that the church could be a positive community, bringing people together, and understanding there was a loving presence looking out for us.
Because of this upbringing, I always believed in God. And because of this belief, it helped me get through some horrendous times.
As an adult, my idea of God has shifted and grown as I become more aware of who I am and who I am not.
In 1994, when I quit drinking, I started a spiritual quest and I’ve never stopped.
It has saved my life.
I have had some amazing experiences that have opened my eyes to the world of Spirit, Unconditional Love, Energy, All that Is. I explain more about that in my memoir, P.E. for the Soul.
Simply, spirituality is a huge part of my life. And to me that means affirmative prayer, meditation, paying attention to signs and symbols and communing with nature to name a few.
I have had some pretty amazing, out of this world 🌎, experiences so I know this is just but an adventure.
I am here to make the best of it until I am ready to transition to the next.
