Who is the most confident person you know?
All of us are confident…and then insecure. It is not black and white but changes with the ebb and flow of the tides. Our confidence changes moment to moment.
Each of us experience both confidence and insecurity. We might be participating in an activity or job we love, feel passionate about and are really good at. We throw our heart and soul into the moment, with our back straight and our head held high. It may have even taken many years to realize the gift we have and our confidence grows.
Flash back to the thumb sucking kindergartner. She enters school and then refuses to let go of her mom, kicking and screaming all the while.
Flash forward to the woman giving a presentation to her peers. She speaks with knowledge and confidence answering questions as they arise.
Then change comes and the confidence and trust in herself allow new opportunities to emerge. The insecurity then returns for the unknown creates a void that fills her head with various scenarios.
We are all confident and insecure depending on the moment. But confidence will win more times than not with a healthy dose of inner coach dialogue and optimism.
